Puxi campus Eagles Boys Varsity Volleyball place 2nd at APAC

VBoys (Small)APAC weekend was an exciting time for Eagle’s volleyball.  The boys varsity team traveled to Beijing to play against five other teams at Western Academy of Beijing including SAS Pudong, TCIS, HKIS, Brent and WAB.

The Eagles faced each of their competitors in round-robin style play the first two days of the tournament with SAS Puxi campus finishing third place in pool play.  In the first round of playoffs SAS Puxi defeated HKIS  to move into the semi-finals to face SAS Pudong campus once again.

The Puxi campus, in an intra-school match defeated the Pudong campus team in four sets, which propelled them into the finals for a third year in a row to face the very solid WAB Tigers.

Although the Eagles gave it their all and played phenomenally, the WAB Tigers proved too much to handle and the Eagles lost the match in three sets.

Eagle players Kevin Xu, Julian Zhao, and Lawrence Wang were awarded ALL-APAC honors for their great play in the tournament.
